By using GovScope, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Service Description

GovScope monitors publicly available government records from Florida local government portals — including meeting agendas, minutes, permits, ordinances, budgets, and resolutions — and provides automated summaries and alerts based on your preferences.

2. Not Legal Advice

GovScope is an informational tool, not a legal service. AI-generated summaries are fully automated, may contain errors or omissions, and should not be relied upon as legal, financial, or professional advice.

Always verify information against the original government documents before making decisions. GovScope is not responsible for actions taken based on automated summaries.

3. Not a Government Entity

GovScope is an independent private service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government agency, municipality, county, or state entity. All data is obtained from publicly available sources.

4. FCRA Disclaimer

GovScope is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. The information provided by GovScope is not a “consumer report” and may not be used, in whole or in part, as a factor in determining eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or any other purpose authorized under the FCRA.

5. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. GovScope is not liable for losses caused by unauthorized access to your account.

6. Plans and Pricing

GovScope offers free and paid subscription plans. Features included in each plan may change over time. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice. Paid plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time from your dashboard Settings page. No contracts or cancellation fees.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or redistribute GovScope content at scale.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the service.
  • Use the service to harass, stalk, or target individuals named in public records.
  • Resell or redistribute GovScope alerts, summaries, or data without written permission.
  • Interfere with the operation of the service or circumvent security measures.

8. Data Accuracy

GovScope aggregates data from public government portals. Coverage varies by municipality and completeness is not guaranteed. Documents may be delayed, missing, or contain errors from their original source. We are not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of source documents.

AI-generated summaries, impact scores, and entity extraction are automated estimates. They may misinterpret, omit, or misattribute information. Always consult the original document for authoritative information.

9. Intellectual Property

Government documents indexed by GovScope are public records and remain in the public domain. GovScope's AI-generated summaries, analysis, entity extraction, user interface, and software are proprietary and protected by copyright.

10. Limitation of Liability

GovScope is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GovScope shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time by contacting [email protected].

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a notice on your dashboard. Continued use of GovScope after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles.
